My name is Blaise Lucey.
I’m a:
- Content Manager at March Communications, where I help tech companies with content marketing.
- An author with some smattering of publications who’s determined to write a novel for no apparent reason
- A bassist for an overly ambitious drum-bass duo
- A runner, so I don’t go crazy
These four passions intersect perfectly at this website. I have a personal interest in marketing, technology, and the rollercoaster-speed changes hitting writers, musicians, and people in general. I figure that a lot of other people have those same questions.
This site is meant to act as a news site and resource for fellow Creatives who have made it in these uncharted waters.
Occasionally, it will also be plagued by my paltry observations on technology, society, politics, blah blah blah. You can ignore those.
If you’re intrigued by the other stuff, I would recommend subscribing to The Creative Brief, the site’s email newsletter. You can check off what kind of news you actually want to get, so you won’t have to actually visit the site ever again.

Quite like the sound of you, Blaise Lucey. May even sign up for the newsletter – but how much other stuff am I going to have to consent to receiving? (Just had a look at the form)
Hi Anne,
No worries on getting other stuff! The sign-up form just has to be worded that way to make sure you know you’re going to get a newsletter from me.
The Creative Brief is just once a month and you won’t get anything else. It has a lot of handy news for authors, musicians, and other creative types.
You can always unsubscribe if you don’t like it
Thank you for all the great info! I nominated you for the Liebster Award because I think your blog is a great resource. Here are the details: http://pajarigirls.com/2012/12/17/liebster-award/
