About

IMG_3048My name is Blaise Lucey.

I’m a writer at heart who loves to tell the story of how technology is changing the world. I started my career at a content marketing agency, where I learned how to build the foundation for engaging content and SEO strategies before moving in-house to launch an in-house content marketing program for email marketing platform Constant Contact. After building a content department for a global PR agency, I moved to New York City to launch brand, content, and product marketing programs for startups in Silicon Alley.

After leading the marketing team that helped secure $63M in growth equity for link management platform Bitly, I was recruited to build out a global team at ad tech company Criteo. As Head of Global Content, I managed an international team and scaled enablement and inbound marketing strategies across 15+ countries. I brought this skillset to Roku as the business launched Roku Advertising in 2020 and led the brand and content team in positioning the offerings of Roku Advertising in the market, winning the 2021 GDUSA Web Design Awards for the redesign and rebrand of Roku Advertisng’s owned channels.

In Fall 2021, I joined Surfside, an innovative new ad tech solution, as VP of Marketing where I built out a marketing team and led the full stack of online and offline marketing programs as the company grew 40% from 2021 to 2022.

I am always looking to the next horizon not just for the latest technology, but the way digital experiences help us tell our story and discover new truths about the world around us.

In my spare time, I’m 50% of the psychedelic rock band Job Creators and the author of Litverse.

  1. Quite like the sound of you, Blaise Lucey. May even sign up for the newsletter – but how much other stuff am I going to have to consent to receiving? (Just had a look at the form)

    1. Hi Anne,

No worries on getting other stuff! The sign-up form just has to be worded that way to make sure you know you’re going to get a newsletter from me.

The Creative Brief is just once a month and you won’t get anything else. It has a lot of handy news for authors, musicians, and other creative types.

You can always unsubscribe if you don’t like it 🙂
