Hi – am in the middle of reading Goldfinch and am getting more and more aggravated, so I simply googled “Goldfinch, overrated” and came up with your article. THANK YOU. I wouldn’t mind if it was simply a book that sold a lot of copies, but it is not worthy of the Pulitzer, and is a slap in the face to real writers. (Of which I am NOT one, by the way). I live in Manhattan – it is doubly boring and tedious for me.
